Forward CT News Update: New “It’s Up to Us” Podcast Launches to Build a Better Political Conversation

February 2026 — Forward CT is excited to share that the Forward Party has launched a new national podcast series, It’s Up to Us — a bi-weekly video and audio show focused on democracy reform, independent voters, and practical ways to move beyond partisan gridlock to solve real problems.

Hosted by Lindsey Drath, CEO of the Forward Party, alongside Christine Todd Whitman and Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey, It’s Up to Us brings seasoned leaders together to rebuild trust in American politics and put people over partisanship. Each episode blends honest conversation, data-driven insight, and real-world examples of cooperation and problem-solving rather than partisan division.

“This podcast is about cutting through the noise, talking honestly about what’s broken, and showing that there is a better way forward,” said Drath — echoing Forward’s core belief that fixing our democracy starts with us, the people. Episodes explore topics like independent candidates, ranked-choice voting, open primaries, and structural reforms aimed at empowering voters and strengthening governance.
